oraz praktycznej nauki języka angielskiego

w systemie dziennym i zaocznym.

The Teacher Training College of Foreign Languages was set up on 1 October 2004. It trains future teachers of English and German. The full-time studies last for 3 years and are free of charge. All the classes are run in the language of a given section – English or German, respectively. Our college is under the educational and didactic supervision of Adam Mickiewicz University.

College graduates, after three-years of studies, obtain full qualifications for teaching a given foreign language in every type of school. Every college graduate having obtained a Bachelor’s degree granted by Adam Mickiewicz University is also entitled to do a Master’s degree at a university.

The Teacher Training College in Stary Tomyśl is situated in a beautiful historic park 3 km away from Nowy Tomyśl and about 50 km from Poznań. This college is administered and financed by the Marshal’s Office of the Wielkopolska Region. Pedagogical supervision is performed by the Ministry of National Education.

The Teacher Training College admits secondary school graduates after their Matura (secondary school final exam) according to the recruitment rules based on either the Matura or entrance exam results.

Currently, 121 students attend the College.

1^st year English section – 24 students

German section – 17 students

2^nd year English section – 14 students

German section – 11 students

3^rd year English section – 25 students

German section – 30 students

We plan an intensive development not only in terms of the college but also the local community – offering the following:

· Free English and German courses for children and teenagers;

· Cultural ventures – New Year’s eve meetings, theatre shows, international days, English and German song contests for kindergarten and primary school children;

· Training/methodology workshops for foreign language teachers of the Nowy Tomyśl district;

· Affiliation between countries – cooperation, youth exchange, pedagogical training for students and further training for teachers within the SOCRATES program;

· Modernization of the building and the college equipment.

W związku z licznymi pytaniami, informujemy, że zgodnie z rozporządzeniem, każdy kto rozpocznie naukę w Nauczycielskim Kolegium Języków Obcych w Starym Tomyślu, uzyskując pozytywne oceny z egzaminów, ma gwarancję ukończenia go w określonym terminie.
